Hard disks are not a necessity unless you have loads of pretty photos and data. However, should the necessity arise, below are choices to choose from:
1) Seagate Free Agent Go Flex – This brand is synonymous with electronic storage for personal computers and portable ones too.
2) Western Digital Passport Essential - Another choice of reputable brands. As the name suggests, besides thickness, its dimensions are close to that of passport. Depending on market regions, it comes in a variety of colours. Very fashionable!
If you want a more assured reliability, SSD (Solid State Drive) is another choice. These are similar to flash drives but far larger in capacity. The name is self explanatory. Unlike hard disks, SSD have no moving parts. This increases reliability tremendously. However, reliability comes at a price. SSDs are approximately double that of hard disks. Happy storing!
